Seafood Island North shore Grill: The Disappointing Experience

You may be asking why I made a different post with the Handuraw experience when it happened on the same night- well this is the reason. That night I was meeting with my friends after quite a while of not seeing each other. First stop was at the Handuraw and then we met with Angel at Abreeza. We dined at Seafood Island thinking and expecting it would be a good experience because of the price. Let me get this straight-it was expensive. What we had was a Grand Binalot (Php675). It was in the Menu under Boodles- that sort of military eating where the food is prepared in a banana leaf.

The Grand Binalot was composed of budburon, tortang talong, shrimps, chicken, itlog na maalat and adobo. The serving came in a big square native tray so we were really excited. Only to find out that the food was not even ¼ of the size of the whole tray. And the taste of the food, naah- it was not something that would blow you away. It was plain bad. Perhaps the only reason we endured eating it was the money we spent on it. The shrimp had a weird taste- I can say my version would much be tasty! Overall, Blackbeard’s Seafood Island Northshore Grill was an utter disappointment. The way they prepared the food was wasteful- that’s according to the boyfie. I’m not a food critic but honestly, if you want to try a good dining experience leave out Blackbeard’s on your list.
